Did you CNEone?

CNE 2017

Today was the last day of the CNE for 2017 and the first time I’ve been to the CNE in a really long time. We got there in the afternoon, and the first thing we did was eat some blooming onions. Blooming onions are onions that are cut up and deep fried served with a ranch dipping sauce. We also bought some cotton candy to share between my group of friends. The cotton candy we bought was the size of my torso! I was really excited since I’ve loved cotton candy since I was a little girl :).

While eating our food, we walked around the CNE some more. There was the typical skyline ride moving slowly in the air above everyone else, booths and booths of carnival games and food, and typical rides that can be found at fairs including a ferris wheel, and the spinny cups. We made our way into the Enercare Centre and found ourselves at the farm building. There we saw a ton of different farm animals ranging from alpacas, to goats, to cows.  After, we walked around and  Superdog Dog Show. This show was incredibly cute with all the Superdogs running and performing tricks and competing against each other. I really enjoyed the show and enjoyed the little pet an chat session they had after.

By the time the show had ended, the skies started to grow dark as rain was on the way and we hurried to find ourselves some deep fried cheese curds before it poured on us. We found the deep fried cheese curds (amazing btw) and walked around some more and took a couple of photos before we decided to call it a night and head home for the day.

All in all, I got to experience the CNE again and was quite happy with the amount of greasy and sugary food we ate. Here’s to the last bit of summer 2017 before fourth year begins!
